Availability: In stock

Outside Europe: €2,204.92 Inside Europe: €2,690.00

Quick Overview

The "Battle of Britain" is a Limited Edition Pipe from 2010 created on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the British victory at the Battle of Britain, the air campaign of the Second World War when the Royal Air Force (RAF) defended the United Kingdom against the German Air Force (Luftwaffe) attacks from 10 July until 31 October 1940.

The pipe is a classic Group 4 Apple in Shell finish fitted with a Sterling Silver hallmarked band, decorated with the engraving The Battle of Britain and with the image of a Spitfire fighter.

The accompanying tamper is cast from a special aluminium alloy from an original Rolls-Royce engine used on the Spitfire fighters during the Second World War. It is shaped like the propeller blade of a Spitfire fighter and is engraved with the image of a Spitfire fighter and Winston Churchill's famous statement "Never was so much owed by so many to so few".

This is the second Limited Edition pipe of a trilogy dedicated to the most important battles of British history (the others are the "Battle of Trafalgar" from 2007 and the "Battle of Waterloo" from 2015).

The pipe is accompanied by the book "The Spitfire Story" by Peter R. March.

The pipe is limited to only 100 individually numbered pieces, and comes in the original presentation box and outer box, complete with all paperwork.
