Quick Overview

Trafalgar 1805 is a Limited Edition Pipe from 2007 created to celebrate the victory of the British fleet led by Admiral Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar, fought by the British Royal Navy against the combined fleets of the French and Spanish Navies. The Franco-Spanish fleet lost twenty-two ships, without a single British vessel being lost. The Battle of Trafalgar, fought on 21 October 1805, was the most decisive naval battle of the War of the Third Coalition, conclusively ending French plans to invade England. During the battle Admiral Nelson was felled by a single shot and died on his ship.

The pipe is a classic Group 5 Billiard in Shell finish, fitted with a Sterling Silver hallmarked band decorated with the engraving “England expects every man will do his duty”, the signal sent by Admiral Nelson to his ships as the Battle of Trafalgar was about to commence.

The accompanying tamper is made from the original teak wood from the HMS Victory, Lord Nelson's flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar.

The pipe is accompanied by the book "The Battle of Trafalgar" by Martin Robson.

This is the first Limited Edition pipe of a trilogy dedicated to the most important battles of British history (the others are the "Battle of Britain" from 2010 and the "Battle of Waterloo" from 2015).

The pipe is limited to only 100 individually numbered pieces.
