The brothers Montgolfier invented the Montgolfiere-style hot air balloon. On October 15, 1783, Etienne Montgolfier was the first human to lift off earth in their Globe Aerostatique Reveillon.

The Brothers Montgolfier & The First Manned Balloon Flight is a Limited Edition Pipe created by Dunhill to celebrate that first manned Balloon Flight in 1783.

The pipe is a Group 4 Apple in county finish and is fitted with a finely engraved Sterling Silver band (please note: the pictures were taken with the protective film still on).

The accompanying solid Sterling Silver tamper (78 gr weight) depicts in high detail the original balloon that took off from the Montgolfier brothers' workshop on October 15, 1783.

The Montgolfier County pipe is housed in a special book-style presentation case and is limited to only 40 individually numbered pieces.
